When We Meet

We offer a full family ministry with programs for all ages on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

Sunday Mornings

We begin at 9:45 each Sunday morning with Sunday School classes provided for children and adults of all ages. With everything from separate infant and toddler nurseries to classes for children and youth, up through young adults and right on to our seniors—we try to accommodate everyone!

At 10:45 am, we move into the sanctuary for our Morning Worship Service. We typically start off by enjoying a time of greeting each other and “catching up” in the aisles. After hymns and announcements, our service features a time when we can hear and share in each other’s joys and prayer concerns. The choir and worship team, led so ably by our Music Director, Sue Kirkman, helps to focus our hearts in worship. Our worship experience culminates with a timely and relevant message, usually brought by our Senior Pastor, Rev. Christopher E. Burcham—during which our children are dismissed to a special time of age-appropriate worship and instruction. (Nursery is, of course, provided for infants and toddlers during the service, as well.)

Wednesday Evenings

During the school year, we begin at 5:30 pm by gathering in our Fellowship Hall for a “Family Fellowship Meal” provided by the church. This delicious meal, prepared for us each week (at a minimal cost) by Eddie and Penny Horne, makes it far easier for our families with children to come straight here after work and school and be part of our Wednesday evening activities without having to worry about dinner. Of course, it’s also a great chance for all of us to sit around and “catch up” with each other amid the busyness of the week!

At 6:30 pm, our adults move to the sanctuary for a discussion-driven Prayer Meeting and Bible Study—while our children and youth go to Word Of Life.

At 7:30 pm, choir members and instrumentalists remain in the sanctuary to practice for Sunday morning worship.

Many churches, no matter how large their crowd on Sunday morning, attract but a meager few on Wednesday night. We’re a bit unusual in that regard, as we typically enjoy about an 80% rate-of-return! Come join in the fun and fellowship—we’ll set a plate for you!
